Angela Carey

Angela M. Carey, 54, of Cambridge, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family. Cremation has been accorded and there will be a private family memorial service at a later date. Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Cambridge, is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Angela Carey Memorial Fund.
Angela Marie Carey was born February 2, 1962 in Kewanee, the daughter of Clifford and Marie Watson Carey. She was educated in area schools and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1980. She worked as a department manager for over 20 years at Walmart in Kewanee. Angie loved hunting for Morel mushrooms, gardening, going to the beach, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Those surviving are her lifelong companion, Kevin Echelberger, Cambridge, a daughter and son-in-law, Brandy and Kenny Swanson, Cambridge, a daughter and her fiancee, Chelsie Echelberger and Jared Preston, Orion, and three grandchildren, Kyrstin, Kyera, and Kayson Swanson, all of Cambridge. Other survivors include her mother, Marie Berg, Sapulpa, OK, her father, Clifford Carey, Coyne Center, IL, a sister, a half-sister, and her best friend, Lynette Leander, Cambridge. Her grandparents, three brothers, a sister, and a half-brother preceded her in death.
