Allen M. Engstrom, 66, of Toulon, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020, at his home. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, June 8th, at the Galva Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral and Cremation Services. A masonic service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a private funeral service. Rev. Randall Swanson will officiate. Burial will be in Red Oak Cemetery, rural Cambridge. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice or the Galva Masonic Lodge.
Allen Maurice Engstrom was born December 12, 1953 in Galesburg, the son of Glenn M. and Lina Mae Robertson Engstrom. He was educated in Galva schools and graduated from Galva High School in 1972. Allen attended Black Hawk College, East Campus, rural Kewanee, and received an associate degree in automotive mechanics.
He ran a towing and automotive service business in Toulon for several years. Allen enjoyed playing cards with his family and friends. He was a member of the Galva Lodge No. 243, A.F and A.M.
Those surviving are his son, Glenn Logan Engstrom, Davenport, Iowa; a sister, Shirley M. Bent, Toulon; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeffrey and Debra Engstrom, and Keith and Ann Engstrom, all of Galva. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, an uncle and aunt, N. LaVern and Carole Robertson; and an aunt and uncle, Jackie and Rich Nystrom, all of Cambridge. His parents, aunts and uncles preceded him in death.
