Albert F. Clow, 84, of Galva, died Sunday, March 16, 2014, at the emergency room of Kewanee Hospital. There will be a committal service at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 19 th , at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Rev. Rebekah Montgomery will officiate. There is no visitation. Memorials may be made to the Albert Clow Memorial Fund. Those wishing to attend the service can meet at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services, 117 E. Division St., Galva, at 11:15 a.m. to leave for the national cemetery.
Albert was born May 16, 1929 in Springfield, Vermont, the son of Edward and Pauline St. John Clow. He was educated in Vermont schools. His marriage to Joanne R. Taylor took place on September 20, 1959 in Keene, New Hampshire. Albert was a 21 year veteran of the U.S. Army. He later worked as a truck driver delivering automobiles on a car carrier. He is a member of the Hagberg-Hamlin American Legion Post 45, Galva.
Those surviving are his wife, Joanne, a daughter, Paula Clow, Galva, three sons, Albert Clow, Jr., Macomb, Wayne (Debby) Clow, Galva, and Chuck (Pam) Clow, Des Moines, IA, six grandchildren, Duke, Denny, Donald, and Deandra Clow, Madeline Clow, and Zacharia Clow. His parents, a son, Earl, and all of his brothers and sisters preceded him in death
