Richard Kelly

Richard D. “Dick” Kelly, 87, of Sheffield, IL died on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Service will be held in Wymore, Nebraska at a later date.  Cremation rites will be accorded and Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Sheffield is assisting the family.  Memorials may be made to Compassus Hospice, 755 N. Dick was born April 9, 1935, in Beatrice Nebraska the son of Warren and Clarice (Shaw) Kelly.  On September 4, 1955, he married Jacqueline L. Holmes in Wymore, Nebraska.  She survives.  Dick had worked for Natural Gas Pipeline of America for 35 years.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie; daughters Kimberly (Matthew) Thies, Fisher, IL, Cynthia (Bob) Schwartz Nekoosa, WI and Wendee (Keith) VanderMeersch, Sheffield, IL; four grandchildren, Josh Swinford, Angie Champlain, Melissa Swinford, and Kate Hancock; 13 great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Beckham, Liam, Adelynn, Ayla, Amelia, Makynzee, Lillian, Xaviar, Sophia, Noah, Brooke, and Matt; a sister, Louise (Wendell) Grasz, East Moline, IL; three nieces and a nephew, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Patricia Kelly, and a nephew, Michael Grasz.
