Don Devoss

Don W. DeVoss, age 62, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving daughters on December 19, 2022. He succumbed to his short fight with cancer.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, December 30th at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Sheffield.  Visitation will be from 9:30-11:30 am on Friday at the funeral home. The burial will follow at Sheffield Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to his family.

Don was born on November 29, 1960, in Spring Valley IL to Norma Brandt and Dennie DeVoss. He attended Western High School in Sheffield IL. He pursued training in locksmithing and small engine repair.  He enjoyed tinkering with anything he could take apart and put back together. He was an avid bears fan. He provided many lawn care and snow removal services for his local community. His favorite part of life was anytime spent with his 4 girls and grandkids.

Those left to cherish his memory are: Nichole (James) Gross of Amboy IL, Charish (Chad) Cannavo of Tampico IL, Chelsea DeVoss of Ottawa IL, and Haley DeVoss of Oglesby, IL. He leaves behind many grandchildren.

Don is also survived by his mother and 4 siblings. He is preceded in death by his dad, Dennie. His Step Dad, Curt. Former wife, Jolene.  Sister Barb, and granddaughter, Alexandria
