Rodger A. Bayless II, 50, of Hutchinson, Kansas, formerly of Galesburg, Illinois, died Friday, September 13, 2019, at his home. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 29th, at the Geneseo Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services at 225 E. Park Street. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Geneseo Community Center at 541 E. North Street. Private inurnment will be at a later date in North Cemetery, Geneseo. Rodger Allan Bayless II was born April 17, 1969 in Moline, the son of Rodger A. and Colleen K. Cherry Bayless. He was educated in Geneseo and Cambridge schools and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1988. He married Sara Pettett on June 12, 2004 in Roseville, Illinois, and they divorced in 2013.
He worked in the highway construction field for several years before moving to the West Palm Beach, Florida area, where he was an aircraft mechanic at the West Palm Beach Airport. Rodger enjoyed fishing with his son, spending time in the out of doors, and hunting.
Those surviving are his son, Kayne Rodger Bayless, Roseville, IL, his parents, Rodger and Colleen Bayless, Dahinda, two sisters, Tamara Bayless and Angela K. Kehoe, both of Moline, and a brother, Joseph Bayless, Dahinda. Other survivors include his paternal grandmother, Barbara Guyer, Geneseo, three aunts, an uncle, cousins,
and many nieces and nephews. His sister, Melissa Six, his paternal grandfather, Millard Bayless, and his maternal grandparents, Leonard and Corrine Cherry, preceded him in death.
