Dolores D. Larson, 88, of Andover, died Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Hillcrest Home, rural Geneseo. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 14th, at the Augustana Lutheran Church, Andover. Rev. Reed Pedersen will officiate. Burial will be in the Andover Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the Augustana Lutheran Church. Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Cambridge, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Dolores Darlene Anderson was born July 29, 1930 in Richland Grove, Mercer County, Illinois, the daughter of Paul and Erma McGraw Anderson. When she was two years old, she was adopted by C. Jesse and Hannah Anderson Holliday. She was educated in Cambridge schools and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1948. Her marriage to Donald R. Larson of Lynn Center took place on November 14, 1948 in Cambridge, and they just celebrated their 70th anniversary. .
The couple farmed near Lynn Center for ten years before moving to Andover in 1959. Dolores worked at the Henry County Cold Storage and then was a Deputy County Clerk at the Henry County Courthouse for 25 years. She loved flowers, cooking, gardening, bowling, and bingo.
Those surviving are her husband, Donald, her son, Dennis Larson, Andover, a sister, Ruth Myers, Fullerton, Nebraska, and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, a daughter, Annette, a sister, and a brother preceded her in death.
