Bertha I. Osterman, 100, formerly of Sheffield a resident of Liberty Village, Princeton went to be with her Lord from there on Thursday, June 13, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 17th at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, 225 E. Park St. Geneseo. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.in Geneseo. Burial will be in Erie Cemetery, Erie, IL. Pastor Richard Bishop will officiate. Memorials may be made to Sheffield-Mineral Rescue Unit.
Bertha Sanchez was born October 25, 1918 in Ottawa, IL he daughter of Herman M and Elizabeth J. (Fox) Sanchez. She married Charles I. Osterman on Dec. 20, 1938 in Mineral, IL. He died on May 6, 1997. Bertha was a member of Sheffield United Methodist Church and former member of former Buda Baptist Church. She had been a Sunday School Teacher for many years. She was a member of Sheffield United Methodist Women. She enjoyed Moody Bible Radio Broadcasts, Trans World Radio, Billy Graham and was very involved with the Moody Bible Institute, Chicago.
Survivors include a niece and spouse, Jeannie and William Armstrong, Ava, MO; great nephew and spouse, Bradley and Tess Rinehart; and great niece and spouse, Christine and Eric Herdon; great great nephews, Leo and Blake Rinehart; and friends including special friends Rick and Evonne Bishop, Sheffield.
