John, you and Ruth Ann fought a gallant fight for a long time. We all know that Ruth Ann appreciated the love and encouragement that you gave her during the best and toughest of times. You have been an inspiration to all of us as you both struggled against time. And now Ruth Ann is at rest after a long and difficult struggle and she has left you and your family with wonderful memories of all the good years that were shared.

My sympathy for your loss. I remember Ruth Ann as my first swimming teacher at the Aledo Pool. I was a scared little girl and she had lots of patience with me. She was a beautiful person, inside and out. Wasn't she one of the first "Miss Mercer County Fair" queen's. I remember going to the pageant to cheer her on. My little friends who took lessons with me were at her wedding, too. She was a real role model to us. I have lovely memories of your wife ,mother, and grandmother. I'm sure she will be missed.

I served with Ruth on several Emmaus teams and remember this wonderful woman with fond memories. She was such an inspiration to so many and yet she was such a quiet peaceful soul. Her walk with our Lord could be seen in every action and every smile. The peace and joy she shared with everyone around her will be a memory I will hold in my heart. Ruth Ann will be missed both by those who loved her and by the family of Christians who saw her as a strong leader in our struggle to win hearts for Jesus. I celebrate Ruth Ann's joy as she now sits with our heavenly Father and I will treasure the memories of a precious Christ filled woman who touched my heart and made everyone around her a better person. Until we see you again Ruth - you will remain in our hearts and our memories....

Just watched the video--and as usual, am inspired by Ruth Anne's vitality for music, for the outdoors, and faith in the resurrecting God. The images are indeed a celebration of her life.

Please accept condolences from the Hugh Nesbitt family. We all have such wonderful memories of Ruth Ann, but her bubbly personality is what stands out. Sundays were reserved for family at G-Ma Nesbitt's and it was always a treat to have the Petersons join us for the afternoon. We are sorry that we're not able to make it to the services, but we will keep you in our prayers.

To Ruth Ann's family. Please accept our regrets on Ruth Ann's passing. I knew her well during her years at City Hall. She was a most professional employee and was always pleasant and cheerful. She had a great impact on others. With sympathy, Gene Eiklor

I was so happy to see Ruth Ann at our Aledo Class Reunion this summer. I had seen her several months before that at her treatment center for Cancer. My husband & I had brought our good friend Karen Waugh in for treatment too. Karen has passed on too. It is hard to understand why this has happened. I will miss them both and all of our classmates that have passed already to soon. Bonnie K. Curry
