Mabel Eleanor Kidd, 77, formerly of Sheffield a resident of Royal Oaks Care Center, Kewanee died there on Monday, September 17, 2012. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19th at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services, Sheffield. Following the visitation cremation rites will be accorded and inurnment services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22nd at Floral Hill Cemetery, Neponset, IL. Memorials may be made to Mabel Kidd memorial fund.
Mabel Eleanor Whited was born March 26, 1935 in Princeton, IL the daughter of Henry D. and Mabel Florence (Giesenhagen) Whited. She married James H. Kidd, Sr. He died on Feb. 15, 2006. Mrs. Kidd had worked at Barcol Overdoor in Sheffield. She was a very good seamstress and loved to bake.
Survivors include granddaughter, Brandi (her fiancé, Jimmy Bryan) Aber, Sheffield; grandson, Cody (fiancée, Jessika Benson) Kidd, Sheffield; granddaughters, Michelle and Jacquelyn, in Oklahoma; several great grandchildren; brother, David Whited and sister Sandra Doan, both of Princeton. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons, Joe and James, Jr. and a sister Shirley Velker.
